I draw to capture the atmosphere of a place, the feeling of a moment rather than every tiny detail. Sometimes, though, my work moves beyond the physical world. I explore the ethereal, the metaphysical, and the fleeting emotions we can’t always name.
Random faces, abstract shapes, or unusual forms appear in my work to express that sense of something beyond what we see, the energy, the mood, the truth of a feeling that exists just beneath the surface.
For me, drawing is a way to slow down, notice, and translate the unseen into something tangible. Running clears my head, drawing anchors me, and together they form my daily rhythm.
When people look at my work, I hope they feel that too, a moment, an emotion, they recognize even if they can’t quite name it.
